Its December and Im starting to pick out your gifts and I can’t wait to see your face when you open them on the 25th
So lets cheer, for the greatest fucking Christmas we’ve had in years
And though it didn’t snow, I hope you know that I never want this feeling to go
If we hold out hope we’ll be together
Maybe Christmas this year will be much better
Cus I can’t imagine the ol’ yuletide
Without you right here by my side
And I don’t know what could get much better
Than laying with you in big warm sweaters
And sleeping in till 2pm
Then exchanging gifts with all our friends

Back when they were the age you are now, hell its hard to imagine how that went down
Now you’re wrapping presents with new scotch tape, tuck em under the tree and filling stockings
Can I call you after my Christmas meal? I feel like the only one with any cheer

Because in truth I had a shitty year, lost some ones I hold dear and dude I don't even know how I got here
But now i'm doing better yeah much much better
Cus i'm laying here in a big warm sweater
With the ones I love and the ones I trust to have a merry Christmas and sweep all the dust
In their metaphorical attics or something

Totally eclectic and like super prophetic
Playing with fire, call it pyrotechnics
On this Christmas Eve, please don't Christmas live, cus you’ll miss out on the gifts you'll receive
Like a car, a bike, probably not a car but definitely something that’ll warm your heart
